Saint Abdullah & Jason Nazary Guest Mix

Saint Abdullah: “Our half was largely just where our head is at these days, undertaking the slightly daunting task of revisiting the back catalog of Iranian pop music (which we had put off) as well as our own back catalog of home videos and trying to create new meaning out of it. That and continued experiments in plunderphonics, featuring Fred Frith, and many others. It’s really hyper nostalgia that we squeeze every bit of juice out of. Marco Pierre White’s lamb chop recipe also makes an appearance.”

The new poetry based on new words or new metaphors distinguishes itself by its pedantic novelty and by its baroque complication. The new poetry based on new sensibility is, on the contrary, simple and human, and at first glance, might be taken for old, or not even invite speculation as to whether it is or is not modern.

— Cesar Vallejo

Jason Nazary: “I’ve been really inspired by the solo music some of my friends have been making of late so I wanted to include that here. Also featured is a favorite track from the ever inspiring Model Home & from Sugai Ken, whose sound design & world building is so remarkable, alongside some of my favorite upcoming & unreleased tracks with Saint Abdullah.”
